Comments: My brother has mintion to me, that he was aboard
the Rush-DD 714, in the Korean war and that they
were praised for their gun fire support. He said
some Marines were in a tight spot and the NGFS
the Rush gave them eased the pressure. Could this
be the same action ADM. Burke spoke of June 9, 1951? (If so, my brother also said he was put in
for the silver star, but never got the medal. How can I find out?) Thanks very much, John E. Edge
