Comments: My Father William Ken Garrett served aboard the Duncan as a radioman for 7 years I believe during Korea. He was proud of his service but did not really share much about it with his children. We were doing a little research on his ship when I found this site and being the Memorial Day weekend I felt the need to say thanks to those of you with whom he served.
My sister did find his on a roster from 1949, which showed a Dec 48 assignment date.
Thank You Sailors!

Comments: I was on the Duncan late 1951, then transfered via
highline to the Isbell DD869....Talk about a scary ride,
try the highline..twice. Rode it to a oil tanker then
again to the Isbell. I have fond memories of both ships.
they got me home. I would like to hear from anyone who
remembers me.....I recall some bad storms out there, the
Navy never cancels a mission because of weather....
