Comments: My Father was an eye witness to Charles C. Brooks' death aboard ship 1948. We wants me to locate his family and tell them what happen since he was never interviewed at the time of the death. It has been on his chest ever since. I believe they were in port in La. at the time.

Comments: My grandfather, Merle Mccalips (red) served on the Borie during WWII and was onboard when it was hit by a kamakazie on 8/9. I have so many memories of attending reunions with him throughout the country for the Borie every August. I miss him deeply and he passed away on 5/27/1996. I believe his last reunion was in Hanover, PA.
