Comments: I served aboard the Stockham from april, 1953 to june, 1956 as a radioman. I circled the earth from dec, 1953 to july, 1954. we were in combat zone in korea with task force 77, plane guarding and escorting our attack aircraft carriers, and also blockading Pusan and other Korean ports. We also had to pick up any downed carrier pilots who had to ditch their plane because of heavy damage and could not land on their carrier.
