Article 15 May of 66. He was backing up his 5 ton truck without ground support.
He talked about hauling sand from the Imjim River and her talked with our son about
going to Camp Stanley and Camp Casey. I was told that his medial records are kept
in Va. It took over a year to get his Military Personal Records. Kept telling me
they were burned up in a fire. That was 1973.I am interested in the herbicide used
at the DMZ before the acknowledged dates for Agent Orange. If you can help please

Comments: Sorry, me again. If Agent Orange wasn't sprayed until 1Apr68 until 31Aug71 what insecticide was used? I had received a document which was written in the Korean language and translated to English telling them how to apply Agent Orange. I sent it in 2013/2014 with the claim. It was lost in my old computer. My son, who was in country 1990 said that they are still spraying these dangerous chemicals. So the question again, What insecticide did they use before they acknowledge Agent Orange use?

Comments: I was told by a retired Chief Warrant Officer to write for the medical records for my husband. They are kept in Virginia. The VA should help. When I wrote for his service record it took over a year. Was told they were destroyed in fire, but I got them. After reading many of the posts, it seems that the VA doesn't want to admit to A.O. only the published dates and areas. Also, how did the military keep track of all the different units? Was there a different unit for each soldier, sailor or airman?

They would be buried in a national or possibly a state cemetery and the State or Federal Government would take care of the graves. I live in Wisconsin and found out that my State has 3 state cemeteries and the National one in Milwaukee is full.

Comments: People that I remember, Lt. Graves, Lt. Harris, Lt. Col Wright, Lt. Kersinic, Capt Tait, retired as Major general Thomas Tait, Capt Bloom, Spec 4 White, Clyde Burkley Pvt. Started tour at Camp Rose and shipped home in 64 from CC-1. I know that all of these men recall the red alert when President Kennedy was shot in November 1963. It was an honor to serve with these men and many more. Notes we had a dog named tanker at Camp Rose, and 1st sergeant Wilson gave Tanker full command over the company yard.

Comments: I was stationed on the DMZ Co. C 8th Cav. I am looking for information on PFC Peavy who was shot and air evacuated. We were never told if he survived. While there I developed Hep-A from contaminated company water supply. Sent to 44th MASH 2 months. VA says 44th MASH did not exist. Anyone have any info on this MASH. Returned to US in 1962. Developed skin problems on hands that I still have. 1970 developed Testicular Cancer. Have had major Heart attack, thyroid deficiency. All could be due to AO exposure. If anyone has info on PFC Peavy, 44th MASH, or AO use during this period I would appreciate your contacting me.

Comments: I was in Service from June 21, 1966 for 2 years stationed in Korea and I did welding on the vehicles that were sent to and from DMZ. I applied for Agent Orange compensation and after 4 years was told that they didn't spray it until 2 days after I left Korea. Has anyone else had this problem and if so can you help me with some information so I can re-apply for this benefit. Comments: Does anyone happen to have a copy of when you googled Camp Casey . It told about its location and a few facts about it and most important, the veterans that served there in the 1960s and 1970s received $150.00 a month hazardous duty pay for serving in a filth and diseased country. I served in 61 and 62 and received $25.00. The military pulled this article, I wished I would have printed it.
We came back from a 5 day alert and our whole hut had bugs that looked like crabs, they burned all our bedding and put this orange powder on our blankets for the rest of my tour. Came off guard duty at 2:am and wanted to take a hot shower and they were spraying something and my whole body got covered with these bugs, don't know what they were spraying. Was young and dumb. Now have vertigo, tinnitus, bad hearing from a bad weapon etc., also lungs are shot. Best to Keddy ,Plouride , Rossini and Chung Jun Woo. Thanks

Comments: I was in Korea at Camps Casey and Stanley. I served from 1968 to 1971. My unit was HHB 1st and 31st Artillery in the 7th, and later, the 2nd ID. I would like to hear from anyone who served with me. The VA has acknowledged that the 1st and 31st Infantry was exposed to Agent Orange, but they deny that those of us in the Artillery unit made rotations to the DMZ. tjsanders1975@sbcglobal.net THANKS!

Comments: Trying to find a member that served from 1966-1967 at Blue Lancer Valley, that might know me. They say we never did any patrolling on the DMV, which is not right, for I was Capt. Paul Campbells driver. I also passed the infantry badge test, which they have no record of it, also I received no ribbon for being in Korea, need some back up. Jim

Comments: my name is kenneth hoffa was specialist 4th class stationed in south korea namyang c battery worked on tac site hawk missile site pll shack. was guarding katusas while they were spraying insectiside on foliage around tac site and helicopter pad was sprayed also didnt think much of it at the time,have put claim in first time for agent orange was denied i am currently appealing the second time around has been over two years, several of my comrades have been approved for agent orange.i have heart escemia and have had quadruple bypass, diabetes skin disease prostrate was their 1969-1970 would appreciate feedback i have pictures of tac site and compound thankyou for all othe vets service

Comments: Spent 13 months in Headquarters company as a medic. Drove ambulance and jeep. Spent 3-4 times a month up on the DMZ. I didn't mind it during the summer months but during the winter sleeping outside on the ground it got mighty cold.
