Comments: I'm trying to remember the name of the Camp or Compound as I think it was referred to,
just outside of Munsan (Munsunie?) in 1966. I'm sure I was with the 76th Engineer Bn, B
Company, which was detached from HQ's, A Company, C Company. I was a low-bed driver and
shuttled equipment back and forth to Seoul and BLV (Blue Lancer Valley). I was there
from Dec of '65 to Dec of '66.

Camp Stanley Korea
Apr 1967 to May 1968
I arrived at Camp Stanley Korea as Pvt E2 in April 1967 and left in May 1968 as
SP4. CO was CPT John Reis. XO was LT Brisbane. 1st SGT was Albert Doyle.
While there, I was trained as a grader operator by SSGT Charles “Ramsey” Lewis
and SP4 Miguel “Speedy” Gonzalez. I arrived shortly before the finish of the
Uijongbu bridge and road. Spending most of my time grading the dirt roads to make
them smooth enough to drive on. I remember the softball field construction as
well as rock crusher sites in the field. I was TDY to Camp Liberty? in
Imjin/Spoonbill country on grader LE132 with Gerry Litwin, Ed Pennison and Dwight
Hall during summer- fall 1967. I graded/fixed roads all the way from Camp
Stanley into 2nd and 7th Divisions as well as in the Spoonbill/Imjin areas.
In the winter of 1968, after Pueblo and Assassination team problems, I was
also part of a group assigned to deliver/drive new vehicles from Pusan to 2nd and
7th Division bases. (Jeeps, ¾ to deuces, and larger)
I left in May 1968 for stateside with many memorable moments and photos of
Korea. Anyone who wishes to correspond, please Email me at dveinotte@msn.com or

the first 6 months (Most of 1962) in the 226th which was during a nasty winter. We

Comments: I had the pleasure of spending 27 months in Chun Chon at the 4th Missile Command, Company B or the 1/42nd Field Artillery where I was a Senior Assembly Specialist. I have many wonderful memories of all the great guys I was stationed with and the many great Korean people I came to know and love. I so loved Korea, I didn't want to leave. It was a serious culture shock for an 18 year old when I first got there but it didn't take long to appreciate everything and why we were there. I would do it again in a flash and consider it a highlight in my life; thanks Uncle Sam.

Comments: My dad passed away on August 28,2018 and he told me he served in Korea but would never speak about it. He was diagnosed with metastatic cancer just this past June. I don’t believe he was giving me the entire story as my entire life my mother despised me and any time I said he served in Korea she became violently angry and screamed that he never went to Korea (she was mentally ill). Before his death he gave me a disk with pictures not only of Korea DMZ but also of two Korean women. One younger wearing what appears to be a wedding band and an older woman with her arms around the younger and they appear to be frightened and ducking. There is another photo of what appears to be the younger woman in a nightgown sitting on the floor in front of what appears to be bedding behind her but her head is facing down so I can’t see her face. His DD214 papers say he had foreign service of 1 year 3 months. I was born May 6, 1968 at least that is what my birth certificate said from what I can remember. I’ve tried doing a search of my name and birth date in my birth town of record in Massachusetts USA and there is no record of me. Please if anyone knew of a Richard J Jackson serving in DMZ between 1965-1968. In his box of memories he has a DMZ patch Imjin Scout. It’s an Indian red face gray feathers with blue tips inside a white five pointed star with a black background

Comments: Hi I am sure almost all of you have heard that a GREAT AMERICAN ,TRUE PATRIOT,AND REAL AMERICAN HERO has passed away.
I can't believe even in his death the cowardly draft Dodgers can't give him the honor and respect that he deserves.
I am wondering what my fellow Korean Defense Veterans think about John McCain and his treatment that he received from the aforementioned draft Dodgers
In closing in my opinion all who have served and are serving are the real American Hero's you put your lives on line and endured hardships for our freedom THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.
