Comments: My name is Matt LaPierre, I am with the Kentucky Dept. of Veteran;s Affairs. I am trying to assist a veteran (Harold D. Meadows) that was in the 38th Arty Bde in Korea in 1968-69. This veteran was a Sr radio relay operator. He states he was TDY much of his time in Korea. His TDY duties included moving generator equipment origionating from Osan to communication sites in the mountains along the DMZ. I would appreciate any information I can get to assist this veteran with his claim. I need information about unit locations in 1968-69, units the 38th was attached to. Veterans, thank you for your service.

Comments: I carried an M60 until I made squad leader just before my ETS and 3 year term were up. Does anybody remember when they used to tell us to take cover because they were spraying defoliants? We stayed in APC's or bunkers and then later at night or the next day we would do our foot patrols or stakeouts in the same places we were told to stay out of earlier? Does anybody have symptoms? It seems to me we relieved units from 8 or 9 cav for about a week at a time. The rest of the time it was Infantry and Chopper training. I have symptoms of chemical exposure and have been denied compensation and can't get service connected. I feel like the Lone Range(Lone Trooper). Anybody out there? Please get in touch. Comments: I have been to two reunions and had a great time at the last one at Ft Bragg. But have
not encountered any members from the 61 - 63 time period, I did 19 months thanks to one
voluntary extension and the Cuban Missile Crises. Age 17 to 19, the formative years!
Would like to hear from anyone from same time and unit.

Comments: I AM LOOKING SOME OTHER GOOD MEN WHO REMEMBER THIS NIGHT. WHAT STARTED AS A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT ENDED IN ONE OF THE MOST DEADLY FOR SEVERAL OF US. WHAT SEEMED LIKE HOURS FOR US WAS REALLY OVER PRETTY FAST. YOU REALLY LOSE SENSE OF TIME WHEN ALL YOU ARE TRYING TO DO IS STAY ALIVE. WHEN IT WAS OVER WE HAD TWO KATUSA SOLDIERS DEAD AND FOURTEEN U.S. SOLDIERS WOUNDED BY HAND GERNADES. THIS ALL HAPPENED IN FOXHOLE POSITION 104 IN OUR COMPANY SECTER.WHATS FUNNY IS THERE IS NO RECORD OF THIS BATTLE IN OUR ARCHIVES ANYWHERE. WHAT GIVES UP WITH THAT? IF ANYONE OUT THERE KNOWS ABOUT THIS NIGHT, PLEASE CONTACT ME.
