Comments: Where could I find PFC Jacks, who was the lone survivor of a North Korean attack upon a truct with MP's going from JSA to Pan Mun Jom?

I had a friend whom I assigned to interview him a bit later in the hospital. His story of fear and courage has inspired me ever since the moment I heard the recording. YET,,, We were ordered not to release it. "National security" was of course the reason but... Mr. Jacks story contained nothing that would have endangered even the tiniest nat! It was a well told story with complete honesty which showed how a man (or woman) can do amazing things when put is such stress.

I am Scott Brundage,,, brundage3@excite.com (or 510 E Trow Ave., Chelan Wa.)

Please contact me with any remembrance or infor on this incident. OR ON ANY OTHER LIVE FIRE SITUATIONS YOU KNOW ABOUT IN THE 1960's which may been gone unreported to the news organizations or were UNDER-reported by the Army or that we lied about. (I know there were many. I was a "news" writer / broadcaster for the U.S. Army. And I served much time above the Imjin river in 1968.)

Thank you.

I spent 22 years in, and if DA knew how much we partied, they would take my Retirement pay back :)

The following I remember.

Those who got higher all lived in ”Wire”

Alert areas in fields of snow
Mountain roads with only one way to go.

The smell of ”Kimpshi” in the air
Was only second to the honey buckets there.

Those names remembered are, Captain Wilcox, Larry Fultz, Sgt Britt, Sgt Faust, Dave
Frisch, Ron Chandler, George Platz, Sgt Averett, Big Jon Bartick, Lt. Plourde, Bob
Young, George Erdman, Jon Baird, Parsons, Sgt Joe Ferris and one tough First 1st
