TDY/motor maintenance school for 3 or 4 weeks in
September of 1965. Great weather and beautiful
scenery. I thought it was beautiful compared to Camp
Coursen and the DMZ area,

Great memory of having a cold beer overlooking the

also called Camp Macintre? Thanks for your response.

Comments: My name is SSG Ervin Allen Carpenter, and I retired in
2008. I was with A company 3/23 INF, 2nd ID at Camp
Greaves/Lawton, Greaves was the first camp on the right
as you crossed north on Freedom Bridge. I am an Imjim
Scout and still remember my training at ACTA. Our
guard post was GP Jane. I spent most of my time on GP
Jane and patrolling the DMZ. I still have my Imjim
Scout patch and certificate somewhere.

I found my yearbook, 69-70, from Korea. I was in Alpha
Company, 3rd BN, 23rd INF, 2nd Infantry Division, 3th
Platoon 1969-1970. I have scanned the whole yearbook
into my computer. What a wonderful history this is for
many fellow soldiers that served during that time on
the DMZ. I would imagine that those soldiers that are
looking for proof that they served during that time,
for AO claims at the VA, would have something to tap into.

Anyone interested in the Yearbook please contact me. I
am asking the Webmaster of this site if they will post
my Yearbook.

Before they could, he died in a traffic accident. This
was in between 1963-1965.

Can anyone please help?
