Comments: I was on the DMZ for 13 months, (HFP all 13 months) I was an imjin Scout, base camp Wentzel north of the Imjin river. Patrolled inside the DMZ, barrier fence, Libby bridge, OP Dort and more. 2/9th was the only unit that didn't rotate with another unit from the south. Spent the whole year of 1969 there. Chang Pa Ri was the closest village (just south of Libby bridge) only got there a couple of times, (maybe 3) . First/Last Chance bar, Blue Moon Club in Chang Pa Ri. Josan #! When I got back to the world my DD214 didn't even say I was in Korea! I'm getting that amended.

I arrived at Camp Stanley Korea as Pvt E2 in April 1967 and left in May 1968 as
SP4. CO was CPT John Reis. XO was LT Brisbane. 1st SGT was Albert Doyle.
While there, I was trained as a grader operator by SSGT Charles “Ramsey” Lewis
and SP4 Miguel “Speedy” Gonzalez. I arrived shortly before the finish of the
Uijongbu bridge and road. Spending most of my time grading the dirt roads to make
them smooth enough to drive on. I remember the softball field construction as
well as rock crusher sites in the field. I was TDY to Camp Liberty? in
Imjin/Spoonbill country on grader LE132 with Gerry Litwin, Ed Pennison and Dwight
Hall during summer- fall 1967. I graded/fixed roads all the way from Camp
Stanley into 2nd and 7th Divisions as well as in the Spoonbill/Imjin areas.
In the winter of 1968, after Pueblo and Assassination team problems, I was
also part of a group assigned to deliver/drive new vehicles from Pusan to 2nd and
7th Division bases. (Jeeps, ¾ to deuces, and larger)
I left in May 1968 for stateside with many memorable moments and photos of

Comments: I was detached from the 1/15 Artillery to a hill across the Imjin right in front of the fence. It was a 30inch searchlight that was used on cloudy nights to provide ambient light so the infantry could use their starlight scopes. I was there for at least 4 months, drew extra pay for the time I was there. It was a six man crew headed by a warrant officer. Anybody remember that?

Unit: 6314TH SUPPORT WING

Comments: I was at Osan Air Base 1968 to 1969 assigned to 6314 support wing APO 96570 with duty assignments to radar site located on ROKA post near the DMZ. I was a Second Lieutenant responsible for the radar maintenance. I am looking for name of the post and location. Any information would help. Thanks
