Comments: Thanks to all who have and are serving but, mostly to those who are no longer with us to celebrate this Veterans Day, those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, God speed.

Was just 17 when I got there. Was a field commo wireman until I got in an argument with my commo chief, then became a #6 gun crewman driving a duece an ahalf pulling a 105. The entire gun crew was madeup of Katusas except me and the gun crew leader an E5 who's name I can't recall in fact I can picture alot of faces , just can't put names to them (fading memories). We switched over to Self Propelled units with twin caddie engines ad full track, fun to drive with them twin sticks for steering especially going downhill. I do remember Larry Lee, he was the co's jeep driver, he was from LA, California and I remember another guy we used to hang out together with, his last is Vukan don't recall first name, I think he was from Arizona, a big russian looking guy.

They where kinda fun times when you weren't freezing your butt off, $1 for a carton of smokes, sold them to mama san for $10, bak yang and ob beer, anyway if anyone remembers me I would be happy to hear from you or if you just want to BS about the "Good ol Days"

After a couple of months I got in a fight with my commo chief (he was a jerk)and they reassigned me to the artillery unit (we had 105's and 155's)I drove a deuce and ahalf pulling a 105, I was the #6 gun crew which was made up all ROKS except me and the gun chief, he was a E-6 and I was a Spec4 not to long later our towed 105's and 155's were traded for Sp's with twin caddie engines and twin stick steering, not sure of the nomenclachure.

The only names I can remember are Larry Lee he was from LA, CA, he was the driver for the Co. LT Commander ( a cool dude) and Vukan (don't remember first name) I think he was from Arizona (big russian looking guy) kinda guy your happy to have as your friend especially in a fight. I used to buy the cig coupons from those that did'nt smoke for a buck or two apiece. I still can see mamasan shouting tone pakun da (change money)as she's throwing it over the fence when it came time to change the mpc.
