Comments: I was station in this unit from 4 April 1979 - 30th of March 1980. While on one of the maneuver myself and several other soldiers were in back of a gamma goat and our driver thought he could beat a truck across a one lane bridge. We collided with the truck and all of the personnel in back were thrown around. I am trying to get hold of the MP report for a claim I have in with the VA.

Pratter was in my Radar unit. We lived togather,
moved together and did our jobs together. There was
another man from Tennessee who was good friends with
Prater, Ozzie Osborn. Do not remember his first name.
There were 10 - 12 men in the radar unit. We operated
an AN/MP Q10 counter mortar operation. Prater was one
of the operators as we all were. He joined the unit
after I did and was still there when I rotated after
the armistice.
Our operations were always away from Headquarters

war in 1953. I was on the ship to come home when the
truce was announced. I was attached out to Company
E Forward Division as a forward observer. I fought
on pork chop hill, baldy mountain, and queens. In
one drive I was a part of 3 companies that went up
baldy mountain and only a platoon came down alive.
During this drive we ran out of ammo and dug up
Chinese hand grenades to continue fighting. There
was a picture of me in the VFW Magazine several years
ago taken on Baldy Mountain after it was secured. I

details or myself.
