Comments: Reply to Tom Eubank: My father was Gayle W. Huston and served with the 2FOB starting with 18th FA Bde under 8th Corps at Camp Bowie, TX before deploying to North Africa, Italy, France, Germany. He passed away in 1975 and never talked about his WWII experiences. So, yes would very much like to have any information, stories, pictures, etc. you can provide.

Comments: Searching for anyone with knowledge of the 2nd Field Artillery Forward Observation Battalion during WWII as part of 5th Army through North Africa, Sicily, and Italy; then 7th Army through France and Germany.

Also, possible attachment of the 2nd FA FOB to the 44th Infantry Division.

Stories, photographs, records, etc would be appreciated.

Comments: my grandfather served with the N.D. National Guard
But went out with an Ohio Unit. Was an Artillery Spotter. Talked a little bit about Heartbreak Ridge.I would like to know were he was. Thank you.
His name is Robert Helbling.

Comments: Doing a search at the request of my father,he had a good friend that was taken prisoner and has been unable to find out if he ever returned. The friends name was Lt.Robert L. Janes. He doesn't know his unit, I'm not sure where to look, any help would be greatly appreciated.
