Comments: Looking for general info. on the 204th FA BN, from Feb 1951 onward. My grandfather (Cpl Paul E Ball) was with Battery B, 204th FA BN, but his records were destroyed in the Archives file in Missouri in 1973. We know little of his Korea service. He passed in 1998. Are there any Battalion records anywhere? Any unit newspapers that have surfaced? Anyone have photos from Battery B? Paul was from Indiana, but remained in Florida after WW2 ended, only to be called back and sent to Korea. He was a 2-war veteran.

I have quite a few photos taken while he was in Korea, including a number of colleagues like Sgt. Kenneth Johnson and his orderly, Cpl. Sanders.. also some photos of the artillery pieces in action. Comments: I am just looking to see if anyone on here remembers my Grandfather Joseph DeMussi. He passed away 5 years ago now. He was in the 204th Field Artillery Battalion from 1951 - 1953. Comments: I'm looking for anyone that may remember my father Bernard Lewis Rummel. He can't remember his specific unit or company number while he served in Korea from April 1,1951-Sept.5 1952. He was from Indiana and his MOS was welding. He has told me he worked alone or mostly with reservist. He can't remember his company or unit number while in Korea. He did bootcamp at Ft. Comments: I was in Korea 13 months,`in a 4 point zone A battery 204 fabn. Probably 10 months in 52 and 3 months in 53. After 9 months they sent me to Seoul to learn to operate a movie projector ( we all chipped in to buy one in Japan) I was the guy that drove my jeep to Seoul every other day to exchange the film AND to buy booze for some of you guys. A quart cost me $1.50 and I sold it to you guys for $10. Funny thing, I sold my liquor store to 3 guys from India, in 1997. Prior to that I sold a large disco club (1991) in N.J. 2 of the worst businesses. Great if you like,fights, drugs, law suites, and roto- rooter. Comments: I would like leads to technical data on 155mm rifles (Long Toms) and ammo. I served as a US Marine Corps communicator during most of the 1st Marine Division battles of WWII in an artillery btn. First in Sea Coast defense and later in field artillery. Being around the guns but never having been trained as gun-crew member, I missed out on the technicalities of the Long Toms. Like range, projectile size and weight, powder charges, etc. I understand there is a museum piece at the National Guard facility in Salt Lake City. Is that still across the runways from the airline terminal?

He was first stationed in Ft.Lewis Washington at Ladd Field form 1948 to 1949 and was in A.company 4th infantry regimental comat team in alaska May 1949 to Feb 50 until he was sent to Korea with the 204 Field Artilery Battalion.

He is trying to collect he medal and patches and the one he is lacking is the shoulder patch form the 4th inf.reg.combat team that was worn on the class A uniform. Is there any way you can post this on the internet.

Comments: My father, Lloyd Malone, passed away in Jan 2000, but he always told a story about picking up a small Korean boy ophan in the middle of the Han River during movement of the 204th FA during the early days of the Korean War. He said that the boy's name was Che Son Ok, but I have not been able to find out anything else about him. Dad spoke of him several times, and I would like any information of what happened to him after Dad left Korea in 1951.
