Comments: I am looking for information concerning the service of my Uncle, Private William W. Goodwin, during WW2 with the First Field Artillery Observation Battalion ("FFAOB"). Where was the FFAOB slotted within the US Army, where did they serve. I know for a period of time they were training the First French Army. William W. "Bill" Goodwin was awarded several service medals and the Croix de Guerre by France. My objective is to track his whereabouts during WWII. I am also looking for general information about the FFAOB. Any guidance or assistance anyone can render will be greatly appreciated.
