Comments: Greetings to all,
I am searching for any information i might obtain about my father. His name was Maurice James Lawler. What little information i have is that he was with the 39th Art. battalion 3rd infantry division. He was wounded in action on 24 APR 53.He was one of only 2 survivors when his position was overrun. He was awarded the Silver Star for valor in hand to hand combat for this. I would very much appreciate to hear from anyone who might have known my father during this time. I thank you in advance.

Comments: My father was killed in the early afternoon of 5/19/51 while crossing about a 1/2 mile of flat land, mostly rice paddies, with a stream running down the center. Small arms and machinegun fire came from the hills west of P'ungam-ni and he was killed instantly.

If possible, it would be nice to have some way to locate these people - do you have a suggestion on how the locating process could proceed?
