Comments: My husband William S. Tawes will kill in action October 5, 1950. I have some pictures but very little information concerning details of his army life. Most of his things were lost in a flood. Could you tell me where I could get further information. Anything you can tell me, I would appreciate so very much.
Lucille (Tawes) Peterson.

Comments: Looking for any and all information regarding my Dad. I'm told by the National Personnels Record Center, he was assigned to the 77th FA Btry, APO 174. I have an original Armed Forces Liberty Pass with the 77th FA Btry under "organization" and under "Base" it has Cp McCauley dated 16/12/51.
The National Personnels Record Center was only able to send me a copy of "Report of Separation from the Armed Forces of the U.S.(they stated that my dad received the Good Conduct Award and the Army of Occupation (Germany) Foreign Service Award). The National Archives and Records Administration didn't have much more than the Separation form also on my dad.
Is there any where else to go to get information as to "where" exactly he was stationed. I have a sister in that was born in Linz, Austria by my dad and her mother. I don't know if this "clue" helps as to where he was stationed (we know where he met Manuelita's (sister)mom (Linz).
If anyone knows where I can go to get this info., or a phone #, or an address. Please contact me.
Thanks.
Cris Leary and George Balarin (brother)

Comments: My father is the nephew of Hobert E. Meadows who
was killed in action during this war. He was
named after this uncle and has recently become
interested in finding out more about him. This
site was a nice one to show him and I sincerely
hope it will be helpful to other family members.
Thanks for all your effort.
