served with him in Korea in 1951 to 1953 he was
a motor pool sgt.Dick was inthe 44th National
Guard unit in Galesburg,Il then went to Camp Cooke
California,then to Korea.I am doing a family book
about him and his unit when he was in Korea.
Today Dick is in the hospital under going a 5
by-pass heart operator.If anyone can help me with
info I would be real happy.I just get Dick to talk
about Korea the last three months.

I went to Korea as a Pvt E2 and came back to the States with rank of SFC. I am interested in contacting anyone who may have served with me and who may remember my name.

Comments: I trained at Ft. Sill, OK in Nov 1951 till May 52.
Was assigned to the 159th Field Artillery north of Uijongbu, Korea from June 1952 to July 1953.Transferred to Air Section and crewed L19 Birddog. Also did daily mail run while in the firing battery. Would like to hear from anyone who was at either place while I was there.

Comments: I am hoping to hear from anyone who served with my father, Sgt. Jack O'Neill from Chicago, who served in Korea from June 1951 to April 1953. He trained at Fort Sill, OK in the Personnel 2nd Btn., Battery "B" and was assigned to I Corp (Far East Command)with the 159th FAB.

Comments: Arrived at the 159 in April, 1953. Served as radio operator in FDC talking with spotter aircraft. Friends that I remember are Grimes from Beaumont, Texas. Larry Aaron, Brooklyn N.Y. Buedell from Ill. Curry from one of the Dekotas.
All of the above and myself were in Headquarters Battery. Col. Blinn was the Battalion Commander when I arrived. Henry Cabot Lodge lll was our battery commander. I was a cpl when I left in July 1954. Anyone there at that time in headquarters battery is welcome to E-mail me.
