Comments: My Great Uncle, P1C Ramon Alba, was pronounced MIA on July 5, 1950. He was later pronounced KIA. Sometime later, his body, which was accompanied by 2 military police, was flown back to the US. My Grandfather and Great Grandmother were not allowed to view the body.
Since my Great Uncle's death, my Grandfather has been searching for information related to his last battle and would especially appreciate speaking with someone from Company B. Any information would be greatly appreicated!

Comments: 53 years ago today (7/4/03) Task Force Smith w/ arty support from Col. Perry's 52FAB were waiting to meet the North Koreans just north of Osan, South Korea. They were outnumbered, out gunned and did not stand a chance against the T-34 tanks. Carbines never stop tanks. Pray that we never again send men/women into harms way so ill-prepared. God bless the men that died, went missing and survived that July 5th day 53 years ago.

He died in 1970, in a motorcycle accident, at age 40. His wife's name was Willa, but she divorced him during the war. Comments: I remember as a small child he would talk little about the Korean War. Stated that his unit was distroyed and overrun. That he spent a few nights by himself getting back to friendly lines. Another uncle talked about how he made a jump into Korea in 1949, breaking his ankle and complaining that he had to wear regular U.S. Army shoes.

Comments: I would appreciate it if someone has some information on my uncle, Major Boone Seegers. Major Seegers was the S3 Operations Officer with the 3rd Battalion, 34th Infantry. I know he arrived in Korea on 3 July 1950 and was killed 4 days later on 7 July. The Army told me that most of his records were destroyed in a fire in 1973. My uncle graduated from West Point in 1943 and flew missions over Europe during World War II. Does anyone have any information as to what happened during those last few days of his life?
