This cancer has been linked to some sort of parasite that attaches its self to the Bile Duct Between the Liver and Gall Bladder. His wife could be entitled to more V.A. benefits if we can find more informnation on this type of cancer regarding Vetrans who have served in asian countires. Comments: I recently learned about his credentials when he was admitted to Tripler Hospital during Christmas due to Pneumonia. He is recovering now and during my precious time spent with the man who raised me since infancy I was astounded by his service record that the Liaison Officer and Physician shared with me and my Mother. My Dad was very secrative over his service as a Army Mustang in the Military especially his Purple Heart and several Medal of Honor awards he kept hidden from us all these years. I guess his intelligence background trained him not to expose himself. Much of his years of military was served in the both wars, World War II South Pacific and the Korean War. He was 12 years old when the Army recruited him. In them days my Dad told me he looked 21 years old because he worked hard and had a large frame. He told me he has spent more than 20 days at sea to get to the South Pacific from Hawaii. Then another 20 days to get from Hawaii to Korea.

Comments: I am searching for information about my Great Uncle. His name was Robert Millwood of Spartanburg or Pacolet,SC. He served in several units in Korea during 1953-55 as a Medical Specialist. He was a Vietnam veteran also, serving in the 1stCav. He served there in 1965-66 and 1969-70 attached to II Corps Qui Nhon,Vn and Advisory Team 46. He has many medals, including a Bronze Star w/ Oak Leaf Clusters. He died in 1971,and was buried at Fort Benning,GA. My Grandfather, his brother, told me that he was wounded, and later died, due to the wound, that never healed because he was diagnosed with cancer after being wounded. I am trying to learn about the man he was, the men he served with, and the experiences he endured. If you knew him, please e-mail any knowledge you may have. I was born shortly after his death, and never knew him. I would greatly appreciate any help.
Thank You,
David R. Metcalf
