Comments: My name is Patric Knight I am an aspiring writer/filmmaker doing research for a screenplay on The Korean War particularly near the end of the battle at The Nevada Complex near Sanae-Dong May 25-29, 1953 or as close as I can get to that particular time period. Insight into the 14th Infantry Regiment- 25th Infantry Division, Company-B, Golden Dragon’s is ideal. I am concerned about the combat/field medic and what it was like for them on and off the battlefield. What kind of artillery were they up against ? What kinds of triage did they encounter? What did they wear ? Did they have clear medical insignia ? What was in their medical kits ? Did they carry weapons ? Based on the Genieva Convention, under what conditions would a field medic even become a casualty ? What kind of comradery was developed amongst the soldiers ? What was downtime like ? How different was the day of May 5th at the Nevada Complex than any other day in this battle ?
Any information from anyone would be greatly appreciated as my desire is to create as much as possible truthful and accurate portrayals of this historic wartime event; staying true to what these medical heroes went through both on and off the battlefield. As well any great resource referrals on this time period and location would greatly be appreciated ! Thank you sooo much !
~ Patric Knight
aka David G Patric Clark
P.S. My father Theodore S. Clark served in the Navy during The Korean War from 1951-55 upon USS Valley Forge, USS Boxer and USS Valley Forge.

Comments: Hi my dad is passed away & Never Talked About the war. He said, No. When I asked...l thought it was OK Cuz he watched Tons of War Movies--His Generation's PTSD Therapy is my guess.
He almost died in the war & the archives lady said the end of the alphabet perished in the 1973 fire...All I know is my Grandma shipped his transistor radio & a day or so later it was Blown Up in his tent. He dedicated his life to fighting cancer, Cuz he was heavily influenced by the docs who saved his life--Any info on that is much appreciated.
Anyway, he accidentally brought home a Secret Information Observation PCST Log. I can't figure out the location on the Korean War Maps online...I'd appreciate any help to satisfy my curiosity:
July 14, 1953. 18:00 hours. Tank Fire Called. 19 enemy going N. In trench. Range 1900 yds.
OP Destination #427. Location 49337625. Coordinates. 39726491. Mage As 0721
I hope this document is Not still Top Secret...It would just be interesting 2 know what battles he was in...He was from Detroit & we have one picture with his chums...don't know the names...1 guy is black & the other guy white. He was dyslexic if that helps.

only there a couple of weeks, at most. I was the
only person picked out of the company and sent to
Japan to rebuild the 1st Cav Division. I had a year
of leadership training and only had one year left to
serve. That's the only reason I can think of that I
was removed. I never received my rank because
Congress had a freeze on promotions my entire
enlistment. I was going to be promoted towards the
end of my enlistment, Jan. 1953. I told my Company
Commander to give it to someone else because I was
leaving and give it to someone staying. In Japan,
with 1st Cav, I made the 5th Cav Regiment football
team. In the fareast command we came within 2 games
of playing for the fareast championship. Would love

Comments: Wanting to find anyone who knew AL Hatton as his records for his service in 1952 was probably destroyed in 1973. Al passed away about 3 years ago and was laid to rest in a National Cemetery in the state of Washington.
Keywords: Al Hatton was in korea in 1952 and earned 2 Silver and a Bronze Star but when a General found he was 16 to avoid embarrassment and possible court marshal for Al he was discharged and sent home. All I know he was in the 25th Division.

Comments: I am the grandson of PFC Billy G. Orr Sept 9, 1929-Feb 24, 2004. My grandfather served during the Korean Conflict and was the recipient of two Bronze Stars. He would never talk about his time in the Army overseas, and I am curious if any one has any idea why he was awarded the bronze stars and for what battles. I believe that he was in the infantry but could have been artillery. God bless all who have served. And thank you for any info.
