Comments: I am looking for anyone that may have fought in Korea with my Dad, Jack L. Stalker. All I really know is that he was a paratrooper. He was also exposed when they were testing the A-bomb out in the desert. He died in 1987 from a brain tumor. I would like to hear from anyone that might have known my dad during this time. Thank you.

Comments: My grandfather was wounded in the Korean war. He died a few years ago, and I did not have a chance to hear very much about his military years. His name was Jose Carlos Flores, from El Paso, Texas, and was an engineer(?). The only information I can remember about his company is that they were called "The Fighting Engineers."

Comments: When I was a kid, in the early 50's, growing up in St. Pauls, N. C., I was befriended by a Sgt. Edwin Audikirk, stationed at Ft. Bragg, N. C.(not sure about the spelling of his name). He said he was from Iowa and had a wife and children. I may have been 10 or 11 years old at the time. After his unit shipped out, I never heard of him again. I have often wondered if he was still alive and if there was some way to find out something about him. I would appreciate it very much if it were possible to learn something about this solder, who was my hero as a kid. I look forward to your reply. I am very grateful for what our men in uniform have done for our country.

I look forward to visiting another Army buddy, Clarence Viers in Christianburg, VA within the next few weeks.
I will be exploring the various links found thru this web site, to try to locate other friends.
Thanks; this is great!

He is Pvt. James Norris Samples. He was called DOC by some, and Jim by others. He may have been called Little Samples, because his brother Charles Anderson Samples also served in the army. That's all the info I know.
Do you think anyone might know my father?
