He has passed away. 63+ years after his service our family finally received his awards from his service. He never saw the awards. Comments: Just know my Dad was in Korean War. Was young when he died, 52. Would like to know if anyone could tell me about him , what he did in Korea. He was a fun loving guy. Once told me he was a cook, think he was joking. Saw a small film of him in a bazaar with friends in Korea. He also had some wooden sandals with tall platforms on bottom.

He was born in Alabama but family moved to North Carolina.

Comments: Looking for any information on Jack Sterling Shelton US Army Infantry. He was my
uncle and he died today. He came back from the Korean War and was never the same
again. I guess the correct term for it these days is PTSD or as they used to call
it Battle Fatigue. My mother told me he was the only survivor in foxhole with
several men. He was wounded but survived. I just wanted to know more about what
happened with him. It seems he led such a sad and reclusive life. He never married.
He stayed to himself. He had frequent flashbacks and hallucinations regarding the
war in his early years after being discharged from the Army. If anyone finds this
who knew Uncle Jack Shelton, I would like to hear from you.

Thanks , Andrew Quinn

In order to get a copy of his DD-214 they need to know the following: Date of separation · City of separation · Complete assigned unit: 1. Company 2. Battalion 3. Regiment. Sadly, my Dad doesn't remember any of this. I was hoping there was someone on this site who may have served with my Dad during February 19, 1951 - 1953. I have been trying for 2 years to get this information to no avail. I've called every agency, every congressman, every news outlet. Hoping to find someone on here. Comments: Hi everyone! I am trying to locate information about my grandfather's military history. His name was Albert Wesley Bane from Halifax County, Virginia. He was born on May 25, 1929. His father was Wesley Bane from Halifax County, Virginia and his mother, Ida Thomas, was also a Halifax County, Virginia native. He was married to Elizabeth Stevens also from Halifax County, Virginia.

I was a small child when my grandfather would tell me stories about the Korean War... I wish he were alive now to tell me those stories. I was too young to really understand and appreciate what all he was saying that he witnessed overseas.

My grandfather passed away on September 28, 2004. My family since then hasn't really been getting along... it's a shame families are like that. A few months ago (nearly 11 years after his death), I found out that he still doesn't have a tombstone at his gravesite... just a tiny marker. Apparently my family has been too busy fighting to give the man a proper tombstone. So here I am. I'm looking to find out any information I can so I can give my grandfather the proper military tombstone that he fought so hard for. I would be greatly appreciated if there is anyone with any information that can lead me in the right direction. Thank you!

Comments: Hello,

Please help! I'm looking for info on my late uncle, (Silvanus) Keichi Kenny
Imamura. He was my dad's half-brother & I never knew he existed until 2010, but
I found out later that he supposedly died in Aug 2009. He was the son of my
grandma, Toshiko (Sakamaki) Yusa/Imamura & her 2nd husband, Keikichi Akane
Imamura.

Uncle Kenny was born 10Dec1931 in Laguna Beach, CA, was interned in Gila River,
went to Brooklyn when he & his parents were released from camp, & attended UCLA.
He served in Korea in Mike Company.

I may have an aunt & cousins out there that I don't know about. Even if I don't,
I'd still like to know about Uncle Kenny. Any information that anyone can
provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Comments: Looking for SGT. Henry H.M. Kim or his family. At work we found a Bronze Star with Valor Medal attach to the certificate. I know for a fact awards are hard to track and it seems such a waste that the award was lost.
