Comments: I am looking for information about my dad. He passed away when I was 16. I don't know much about his military career. Because he died suddenly when I was a kid I didn't have time to ask. If anyone knows him or can help me in any way I would greatly appreciate it. We were very close and I would like to find out as much as I can. Thank you.

He started there from 1951 - 1954. I wanted to make if he was on shore leave and see my mother and made conceived to me that time. My siblings kept tell me that it was classified. I needs to see the fact that is it. I know nothing about boats, etc. Because I am deaf that s why my parents and siblings did not know how to communicate with me. I always write notes to them but they never write me back due to they re too lazy to answer me.

Eisenhower was there in Dec of 1952? He didn't talk about all the things he saw there or did, but I now know that you just don't talk about things like that.
Looking for Chuck Servant? that may have served with him or anyone else that remembers my father-in-law Charles Finley he was a Private possibly in chemicals because he told my husband(his son) about stirring an oatmeal looking substance (Maybe Napome?)He had Red hair back then.

Comments: Hi. I'm trying to find out about my dad. He's 74 now and still going strong, but he is haunted by some things that happened while in Korea. I've asked him questions, but he says "please don't dig up my past, you won't love me." The words I listed in the "keywords" section is all I really know. He was part of some special section of the army that jumped from planes behind enemy lines and took care of whatever they had to do. Is that what a Ranger is? I don't even know. I'm trying to get my mother to obtain his records, but I read on the net that most records from his era were destroyed in a fire. I really want to know who my dad was - not so I can talk to him about it (cause he doesn't want to), but I just feel like I NEED to know. I would love to surprise him with replacements of his medals. Dad had them stored in the attic of his farm house and my nephew got in there and SOLD them for small change. Dad's heart was broke. I can't try to get them replaced if I don't know anything about him or his service for our country. I would also think it would be so neat to locate some of the guys that served with him. I know many are probably passed on, but I would love to find out if any are still alive. I don't know his unit or ANYTHING!!! Any help would be great. Thanks.

He was originally a 100% genuine Cowboy who lived on a Range in Broken Bow Nebraska
He gave up his Horse when he was called to serve in Korea He returned to lead a different life working in the City and such raising a good family Finally moving onto a farm in western NEB
He passed away 12 years ago and one of his sons Did not truly know him so I want to reach anyone who knew him and can help me and his son to understand him better

Comments: I'm searching for information that anyone may have on my grandfather, Harley Gene Schwartz. He was probably known as Gene, as he seldom used his first name. All I know is that he served in Korea, and was seriously wounded. Family legend has it that his injuries came while throwing grenades back at the enemy that had thrown them at his unit, though I'm not sure if this is true, as he wouldn't talk about it. Any information on when and where he served, and with which unit would be deeply appreciated. He was from Wayland, Michigan, and would have been no older than 20 when the war ended.

Comments: Hello! I'm in search of information on my grandfather, Hubert Westmoreland. He, along with my grandmother, were killed in a car accident in 1971 (8 years before I was born). I just learned today that he was indeed a Korean War veteran, thanks to the Funeral Home's information papers that were filled out at the time of their funeral. I always knew he was in the US Army, as a Cook. However, I didn't know he served in the Korean War.

So, I'm looking for ANYone with information on my grandfather..especially what Unit he was in.

Thank you
Donna
