Comments: Would like to have contact with anyone who knew Sgt. Steven Long. Unfortunately Steve is now deseased. Steve did talk about his unit in Korea. Steve said that the Special Forces asked for volunteers for a new Ranger unit, they were called the GHOST RAIDERS. They saw very nasty action and took great loses in combat. There was also a man here in Leavenworth, Kansas that was also with Steve in the same unit Jack Hill. I did not know Jack, but I heard of the action he saw too. Please contact me if anyone knew either of these two brave men.

I am looking for anyone with information on the unit, etc. my father was in the Army during the Korean War. His name was Edward R. Green. He was from Mississippi and served for approximately 9 months in Korea.
He served his second stint in the Army from 1948-1952 (he also served in WWII). I have his discharge papers, but the only thing it list is the 4005th ASU Sta Com and I'm not sure if that was once he was stationed at Fort Hood or not. I would appreciate any information that anyone might have.

He was in a battle near or on the Chosin Reservoir. He was a gunner on an M19 tank. We want to know what happened to him. Thank you for any help.

Comments: My sister and I were never given much info. about our uncles serves in Korea. He would not talk about it and now has passed away. No one ealse in the family will give us any info. and know one can seem to locate the pictures that I saw as a young child. I know he was in the Army, rank unkown, name Kerdith E. Scanland Jr. date of birth March 10, 1937. He was also known as Kert or Kermy. He would have been from Rockford Il. at the time of services. Just would like any info. please.
