Comments: Looking for any info. on biological father who served in the Korean War. The only thing I know is that he was in the US Army between 1955-57, which would place him in the Korean War. He was from Puerto Rico and his name was Juan Angel Luis Sanchez. He and my mom, D. Troche, were engaged in 1956. He would die shortly after being discharged. I would be adopted in 1958 and have very little info. and no pictures.

Thank You
Rick

Comments: I am searching information on my father's unit and possible action in the Korean War. I know he was part of the 7th Inf. Btn., but do not know the specific unit or even what his job designation was. If memory serves, he was in Korea starting in 1951. His name is Don Powell from Boulder,Montana. He told me little about his time in Korea other than the occasional trip to I Corps to "borrow" rations or the time he captured a Chineese soldier whose weapon jammed after the first round (wich passed through dad's coat sleeve, just missing his arm). If anybody out there remembers him, please contact me.

Comments: I am his only child, a daughter who lost her father 4-15-98 to the hands of a doctor's medical mistake. I would love the know of him at the time he was in Korea. I feel that alot of what happend to him there, molded the rest of his life. I also feel that there were things that happened to him that I need to know, I believe they effected his health in his latter years. I grieve for this man, my hero. I want him to be honored, as all who serve their country. I feel those who served in Korea are forgotten, left out of the history of war, the fight they had should not be untold. I want to grasp a bit of him at the age of 18, when he was drafted. So young a man to have to go as many did to face war, blood, and missery. I love him so, I miss him so, I still want to know more of him. Faith in God has carried us along way, that is why I can finally come to grips with what I may or may not find. Thank you
