Comments: I have been a military aviation historian / writer for over 40 years. This has led to my having numerous books and articles published. You can go to either www.amazon.com or www.google.com and write in Warren Thompson where they ask for search. Currently, I am writing a book on F4U Corsair squadrons in the Korean War. I would like to hear from anyone in the squadrons that might be able to help me.

Comments: I served aboard the USS Princeton May 31,1951 to Aug. 12, 1951. My squadron was VF-871. WE flew F4U Corsairs. We were a reserve squadron called to active duty on July 26, 1950. We lost 5 planes, three pilots lost, and 2 made it to water and picked up by choppers. I have the Princeton cruise book from 1951. If anyone wants me to look up someone, please E-mail me.
