Comments: I have just had a book published on F4U Corsair Operations in the Korean War. Currently, I am writing a huge/coffee table type book entitled U.S. Naval Aviation in the Korean War. It will cover the histories / personal comments /and color slides and photographs of the aircraft from the various squadrons. If anyone in VF-112 has anything they think might help, please contact me.

Comments: I am trying to gather information about the air combat operations of USN squadrons in Korea. In case of VF-112 I am especially interested in encounters with MiG’s during the November 1950 strikes on the Yalu bridges. VF-112’s encounter with MiG’s 10 November is mentioned in official records, but I am interested in anything further on that encounter or any others by VF-112 or any sdn in Philippine Sea/CVG-11 at that time. Any info, first hand or not, would be helpful.
