Comments: Searching for Maj. Davis Cleeland, Capt. Daniel P. Gillon, Jr,Capt. Chas.Mullins members of VMA-312 MAG-12 flying off the USS Badoeing Strait 12/27/52 when 1st Lt. John B. Goery was shot down along the coast in Korea. He was spotted getting out of his ditched Corsair, but not recovered.

Comments: This might sound strange but I know very little of what my father did in the navy while in the korean conflict. I have a few letters that he wrote home to his parents but unfortunately they do not give me much insight into what he did. I know that he was on the USS Philippene Sea and I believe he did maint etc????? but not sure. His name was Dwight Daniel and he was from Humboldt Iowa. If I could get any information or a place to start it would be great, thanks for your time.
