Harley was my grandfather's cousin. He served with the
25th Infantry Division, 35th Infantry Regiment. He was
in Korea in 1950. He is listed as KIA on August 18,
1950. He would have been 26 at the time of his death.
I know he was awarded a Purple Heart, along with some
other medals. But I know nothing else of Harley's
service. If anyone served with him or knows more of
what happened, I would be grateful to hear from you! I
know it's too much to hope for, but any information or
if a photo of Harley exists, I would be ecstatic!
Thank you!

Comments: My name is Sabrina Dora Gallegos and I am 14 and in the 8th grade. I'm the 2nd child Of Oscar Edward Gallegos's son Oscar Edward Gallegos Jr.

I had recently visited this memorial in Washington D.C. in a school trip. As I looked at the pictures on the black granite wall I saw a picture that looked like my grandpa.

I was wondering if anyone knew him or knows any stories about him. I have tried to ask my dad about him before but he gets very emotional.

If anyone knows any stories or has any pictures of Oscar Edward Gallegos that would make me very happy.

Comments: My uncle, Sgt. David L. West, was wounded in action on 6-6-51 and died on 6-8-51.

Was wondering if anyone might have known him and remember where this action took place and what was the nature of the action.

Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Bill Noel

Comments: Just hope that someone remembers DOMINIC PECORARO. He served in the 35th Inf 25th Regt in Korea. He was KIA on Jan 30,1951 only 2 months after his 18th birthday. I don't know Dominic, I never met him but his grave is nearby my parents in St Charles Cemetery,Pinelawn, New York. I've visited him many years but don't know a thing about him. Was hoping one of the fellows who may have served with him could shed any info on him and how he may have died. I believe he was from Brooklyn but not sure. I'll keep trying but any help would realy be appreciated. Thanks to all of you for your great service. Be proud of your efforts and yourselves.
