Comments: Hello! I am an Army brat trying to piece together my father's career Army service. At the moment I am looking at papers that show he was the Commander of A Battery of the 68th AAA from 1955-56. But WHERE exactly was this Battery located? I have a US Army Times article that talks about the Battery being on an island nicknamed "Fort Forgotten" in the Yellow Sea, but not sufficient information to locate it on a map. Comments: My Dad, Celso Garcia currently passed in July 2018. I came a cross the form he submitted for his DD214. They were unable to process due to damages at the archive. I am currently researching his Military service when I came upon this website. I do not know much that I can can contribute but my Dad was very proud to be a Korean Vet. I am trying to get his DD214 but they want details that i cannot get. I did run accross an Antiair Craft Journal magazine which mentions the 68th AAA Gun Battalion on pages 9-11. If this is the same as the 68th AAA AW BN, I cannot read if my dad placed the 12 Cav or 1st Cav.
If anyone can help, then I am on the right track.

B Battery, 68th AAA Gun Bn. We reconnected in Pusan in Feb 1951. We moved to Inchon to the Triangle Central Front Supporting I Corp. I was wounded and discharged from the Army. I need to confirm his death in order to get my pension for PTSD.
The VA says there are no records of Tim dying in Korea.
I know he died, I was there immediately after the water truck rolled obver rounding a curve. He was a close friend and I remember the scene very vividly all the time!
