Comments: The unit listed is my Father-in Laws', 1LT Bernard Bradley Gallagher, unit in Korea. He arrived in theater in May 1952. He would have commanded an AAA Platoon during that time. We do not know his Company or Platoon. We know he received a Bronze Star on his combat tour. We do not have the date or the citation for that award. Can we find out if his records were destroyed in the St. Louis fire. If any remain can we get copies of them? He was a veteran of WWII a a Private, in 393rd Inf. Regt. and received a Bronze Star during that Combat tour. Again we do not have a citation for that.

His name was PFC Frank Yerbic. I am working on a shadow box for the family. Comments: Recently at the flea market in Tulsa, OK I bought a collection of over 200 photo belonging to Billy Gene Bost along with several documents (DD-214, etc), an autographed Thanksgiving Menu and other items. All these photos are of military nature, in training in the US and (most) in Korea (?). None of the pictures are identified except one class photo has all the men named. I have no idea where he was stationed in Korea. I was hoping that someone might have some info on the unit or be able to put me in touch with someone who may have know Billy Bost.
Here is what I know so far (from DD-214 and SS Death Index and menu in the collection). Billy Gene Bost, (1935 - 1976), RA 18437541, was a resident of Lawton, OK. He enlisted in the Army on Jan. 5, 1953 near the end of the Korean War. He trained with Battery C 752nd. AAA Battalion at Oakland, CA. He was shipped to Korea after the cease fire (1954?) and spent almost 16 months there with B Battery 26th AAA Battalion as a AAA Gun Crewman. He was discharged on Jan. 7, 1956. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and Korean Service Ribbon.
I have posted a few of the photos at http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/321853-200-korean-war-photos/ .

I know I was taken to 121 st evac. Hospital and there was an xray taken of my foot, there was a Lady Bird Col. I was relieved of duty for a few days, light duty. Records sent me recorrds that pertained to the exact dates I remember it happening , but because there was no mention to the part of my body that was injured , the veterans officers will not accept my injury claim as service connected injury. the injury was a heavy welder bounced in a trailer we were hauling it in and landed on my foot, it smashed my foot , broke the large toe. I have had years of foot , knee and back pain due to this injury. I have been working on this claim since about 1983.
