Comments: This is my first time finding this site. To Richard Wheeler, Hey Roommate! I was stationed at the rock from 88-91. I'm on Facebook for those that have a page look up Tommy Jackson Kennedy and friend me. I'm also FB friends with Ivan Luna, Scott Cannon, Marla Borel, Phil Waynick, Robert Moon and Brian Luse. The only left to say is that I had a heck of a time serving with all of you and I look forward to hearing from old friends.

Who remembers the Lion Den, buying Top of the line Carver amps and blasting Pink Floyd in the middle of the night! 40 mark straussa, The Gaust House in Kregsfeld (Mike the owner). Our very friendly German girls, running the BAF and SAT teams. I know we thought it sucked while we were there, but the memories will be with us even after we expire. WAIT! and i felt so sorry for the guys in the towers.if it
matters we had no heat in the shop.i think of all the
red wax we put on the barrack floors but they did
shine and how we had to wait for the blacks to dap
before we could get in the mess hall.does anyone else
remember when cpt conine changed our company motto
to no slack.we were not happy.going down to pauls
for dinner after getting off and the company party
when 619 took over the towers so we could have our
party off post.ihave heard people say we had suicides
there but i can not ever remember any.we often
wondered why we had to have a security clearence to
stay on the post and the convoys going out.i was
happy when i left there but have a lot of good

it.take care all of us that can say we were at

Comments: Hi together

I urgently need your help. I´m looking for a soldier being stationed at North Point in Kriegsfeld, Germany during 1951 / 52.
I´m a desperate grand child looking for her grandpa.
I don´t know his name but the only thing I know is, that he was stationed at North Point during that time and got acquainted to my grand mom, Erika Glas.
She became pregnant and before my father was born on August 10th in 1952, he had to go back to the US. Maybe someone of you can remember the story and help me with my research. My Dad´s name is Roland Frank but I think it should be Frank Roland, which maybe indicates that his father was named Frank.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
Melanie

North Point Confinement Center is a place you won't want to go.
It's a place out in Germany, back in the hills where the snow always goes.
Well we all work in a wooden box .
Just sit there and stare alot.
No we don't get to (read alot).
Break the rules and you're sure to get caught.
North Point Confinement Center is a place where you'll lose your mind.
It's a place where they (mess) with you
up in the towers until you finally go blind.
For lunch and for dinner they let us unwind.
To a tray full of (food) in thirty minutes time.
Then it's back to the hill again for another four hours.

I stumbled upon this and a couple other Kreigsfeld-related websites, and the pictures posted on one such site (http://www.angelfire.com/tx5/kregsfeld/pictures) gave me the chills - the pictures look like they are from the early 70s, but the place looked EXACTLY THE SAME when we were there in the late 80s. I cannot believe it has already been about 15 years since I was stationed at The Point and how much the world has changed since then. For as miserable as the duty there was for an MP, in retrospect we actually had a pretty decent time there.

Comments: I was in the 619th Ord Co and had many friends in the 558th during my 2 years at North Point. I was there from late 1989 to the close and drawdown in 12/1991. Every posting I read here brings back a flood of memories which I haven't thought about in years. The 4 lane bowling alley, the hardstand and those antique M818 trucks, the club, fog guard, K-town, Sembach. If you're interesting in chatting send me an email. I will have to scan in my photos of that time to share.

Comments: Wow, So excited to have found this site. I was stationed at north point from mar 7th, 82 thru Nov 83. Was with the 558th MP co. 1st plt. Platoon sgt, was SSG. Lomeyer. I lived on the top floor of the barracks, turn left, the last room on the right. Roomates were Chris Dobble from Huntington Beach,CA, David Sgrecci,Iron Mountain,MI and Mark Hall, Titusville,FL. The Company Co. at the time was Timothy Murrel. I can still remember the words "SAT and Baf" alert, haha. And walking 3miles to the Guest house in kriegsfeld for some jagerschnitzel and a beer. And getting a beer from the pop machine . I'd love to hear from anyone stationed at "the point" . I have some pictures I'd love to share. Some other names i remember would be ,, Rich Johnson from Arthurs ridge,KY , Tim Loor from Maryland, Sgt.Jackson, Jeff Walters, Chris Stewart (f), and thats about all i can recall, wow cant believe its been 20 yrs.

Comments: I just read the entry from Tom Turner regarding hearing from some one that served in the 558th MP Co during 1950. I was with the 558th from July 1950 until Sept. or Oct. 1951. About the same time Tom was. I would like to contact him, but his e-mail doesn't show. Can anyone help. He is the only person I've found, so far that served during the same time I did.
