Comments: I served at the 555 Military Police Company in Koje-Do from May 1953 to December 1953, then transferred to the 57th Military Police Company in Inchon after the Big Switch transfer of prisoners after the Truce was signed in July 1953.

After serving as an MP in Inchon, I was reassigned as a personnel representative for the MP company at Inchon Headquarters, where I was in charge of Finances.

We returned to the US in July 1954, on the ship Horze to Seattle then to Fort Ord by train, where I was discharged.

Comments: I pulled regular duty with the guys, worked in the Armory for a while and wound up being the Provost Marshal's Driver before I was discharged in Feb of 1950. I didn't get to make the trip to Korea, but I layed awake at night thinking about all of my buddies over there. I loved these guys like brothers. If anyone out there remembers me, I would love to hear from you.

Comments: My dad, Cecil Weaver, was in the 57th MP Co in Korea in 1950 and 1951. He (and the family) are interested in finding information of friends he served with. He would like to know what happened to them after they left Korea, although he is not interested in rehashing the memories of the war itself. However, I am interested in any information whether its about the war or the lives of his friends after it ended. My dad, has told stories of his friends Kenny Stafford, Leo Craps(sp?), Cecil Amaker, Richie Blum, Harold Rohschieb, Harry Rush, William Oxenford, and Isaac Dixon. There are others of whom he only remembers the last name as well. Many of those he served with in Korea were from a detachment from Camp Stoneman California. He also has mentioned a Captain Macelli (sp?). Also if anyone remembers some of the light-hearted "army" songs that were sung, we are all interested in knowing the words!
--Thank you! Nicole Weaver
