Comments: My father Kenneth Hedin trained as MP at Fort Baker March/April 1953. Deployed June 1953 aboard USNS Gen Nelson M. Walker troop transport. Assigned to UNC Prisoner of War Camp, No. 3 on Cheju Island, later transferred to 595th in Pusan, served as company clerk, won 1st place volleyball tournament, group leader of both the Cheju-Do and Pusan group of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints (LDS) servicemen, was there during “great fire” of Pusan City, discharged September 1954.

Comments: I am looking for the crest that was worn on the side of the MP helmets in the Korean war. On what I can figure out my Grandfather was stationed in Pusan while he was in Korea and was with the 91st MP BN and the 563rd Company. If anyone has any info on this I would greatly appreciate it! Comments: I am trying to gather information from my father's time in
service (1953-55). He spoke about it very little and I have
various pins and medals that I am trying to develop a timeline
for. I have figured out he did some time in 91st MP Battalion
and 563d MP Company based on his pins. He also had a 3rd
Infantry patch and 8th Army on some photos we found. If anyone
can shed some light on the MP portion, I would appreciate it.
