Comments: My father served in the military from February 20th, 1951 - February 19, 1957. He went to basic at Fort Leonard Wood, then went to Fort Benjamin Harris. From there, he went to Korea from March 1954- August 1955. Then he went to Fort Dix, then Fort Eustis. I'm looking for anyone who may have served with my father at that time because we are trying to make a VA claim. So, we need some information on his military history. Also, at Ft. Eustis, he was not an MP. He was in transportation on the boats.

Comments: i arrived in japan around april or may 1948,i was sent to camp gifue and after about a fiew weeks was transferd to 512 m p gifue detchment.gifue was the town a fiew miles from camp gifue,there were about 20 -30 of us all together.there were two sgts. in comand sgt ed capers and i cant rember the others name.the 24 th was the black soilders at camp gifue we traveled by train frome gifue to sassabo loaded on to a japanees luxury ship,and we had to board in our sox, no shoes,until we got to korea.any on that boat will remember,we were the onlly m p s in pusan from july to the time i left for the front line,we lived in huts on water front there was fire that destroyed almost the pier entirley,i would like to hear from any one that was there.not many of us left i am 85

Comments: Served as a guard at Fort Huachuca Post Stockade run by the 512th M.P. Company from July 1969 to Feb. 1971. Looking for any photos from that time of the old Company grounds, Stockade, or Ft. Huachuca area. The base was STRATCOM at the time and had a HUGE stone STRATCOM patch on the mountain side above the Fort. Any photo copies or historical info on the 512th would be great. Thanks.

Comments: I am currently the 1SG of the 512th MP Co reactivated in Oct 2008 at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. I may be of assistance with the Lineage and Honors for the 512th MP Co. I can explain the unit's awards and what combat campaigns the 512th participated in. Unfortunately, I cannot help with specific names as I do not have any rosters from before 2008.
I would like to add that the 512th Military Police Company has been carrying on the tradition of excellence set by our predecessors since February 2010 in Iraq.

Comments: Please help. My daddy, William Thomas (Bill) Prestidge was an MP in the Korean War. I have pictures of him in uniform with the MP on his arm. In my grandmothers Bible is the following:

Comments: I remember being in Pusan in latter part of 52-53. Stationed about 100 miles from Pusan at an Ammo dump at Pohang (sp?). Served 11 months, 16 days. I was an AF Air Policeman, and we handled the dogs. Any information would be greatly appreciated, as my records were destoryed by a fire at the Military Records Bldg in St. Louis.
