Comments: October, 2010 my brother Cpl. Roy R. roberts passed away and if there is anyone out there that remembers him, leave me a message. He said his rise to fame came when Cpl. John Moore and he went looking for something to eat and brought back 7 North Korean soldiers as prisoners.
The story was in the Oct. 28th, 1950 edition.
He wasn't in good health for a length of time.

Comments: My dad, 1stLT William E Eberhart was in Korea from July 1950 thru March 1952. Started July 8, 1950 in 34th Company K in Battle at Taejon.
Then, after recouping was assigned Feb. 1951 to 34th, Company H and HQ as platoon leader 1st battalion...
Next in May 1951 assigned 187th Airborne RCT. In July 1951 his records shows a jump into Korea, could have been part of "Leopard" secret mission conducted by 187th.
Nov 1951 he was transferred back to 19th Company E 2nd battalion, as a platoon leader and his records indicate combat duty Nov, Dec 51 and Jan 52.
In March 52, was sent back to states (ZI).

I'm curious if anyone reading this served with him, knew him, or was in any of these outfits that he was in. If you do, PLEASE contact me. seberhart@tx.rr.com. THANK YOU!

I was named after my father, and great uncle. I would
appreciate any information you could give me, from what
this website said, was that he was KIA in Seoul and my
Grandfather said, that from what he heard, that he had
been taken prisoner first, and then executed, by the
enemy. He was from Saint Joseph or Benton Harbor,
Michigan, which is on the coast of Lake Michigan, and
is in Berrien County. He was a member of the 19th

I don't know about what unit he was in beyond that. Any

Comments: My uncle, Arlie P. Barrett, became missing in action on Aug. 10, 1950 while engaging the enemy in the small village of Chongdon-ni. He was part of a group from "E" Co. of the 2nd Battalion, 19th Regiment, 24th Infantry Div. who were sent to help the 34th reg. who had about 300 of the enemy trapped and his unit was sent to help "clear" the enemy.

Arlie was "Hair-Lipped" and had the usual scar on his upper lip. If anyone knew Arlie, please contact me.

Thanks,

Rex Leonard
