who care. He survived the battle of the Bulge. It has
bothered me a lot knowing that he was mia before

Comments: It has been many years now, but it is possible that Col. Guy S. Meloy, Jr., was one of seven patients in my ambulance as we retreated from the front lines ahead of the 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Division, on July 16, 1950. During this evacuation I was wounded by heavy machine gun fire. I visited with him on the British hospital ship, HMHS Maine, while we were being transported to Osaka, Japan. As a result of the action above I was recommended for a CMH, subsequently receiving the DSC.

I recently learned that Col. Meloy is no longer with us. I would like to offer my condolences to his family and ask if they (or anyone who sees this query) ever heard him speak of the above event, or if anyone knows who recommended me for the medal. The information would be deeply appreciated.

Thank you.

Comments: I am looking for photos of the battle for Hill 765. I saw a photo in a documentary of the surviors of G company. My father CPL Kermit McGill was in the photo. However, the picture was blurry on the computer so you could not see there faces well. I would like to find the orginal or any photos of G CO. during that time

Comments: My Uncle was PFC Jesse Leroy Mitchell. He was a cook for Company C. He was assigned to Company C in Late September/ early October 1950. He was captured on Nov. 4th along with many members of Company C while fighting a rearguard for the 8th Army. He died of malnutrition while being held at Camp number 5 sometime around August of 1951. My father is 80 years old and has no information about his brother other than what was in two letters from the US Army. Anyone knowing anything about my uncle, please send me an email.
