Comments: I was looking for information on Korea in preparation for a trip I am making there in July. I knew my older brother was killed on Pork Chop Hill and I wanted to see if it would be possible for me to visit where my brother died. I didn't find any information on Pork Chop Hill, but I did find this site and a memorial to my brother, Gerald Wright. He was killed before I was born and I have always felt left out because he didn't even know about me. Thanks for this site to remember him and and others like him who died too young and too far away. I am sorry to tell you that your comrade Captain Jack Place has died this year after a nineteen year battle with cancer. Even though he also battled PTSD, he remained proud of his service to his country and his fellow man.
I appreciate all the contact you made to him that boosted his morale. I am so lucky to have been part of his life for 49 years. Thank you all.
