After landing, troops immediately moved inland. The night of July 18, 1950, we began receiving enemy fire and through the morning of July 19.
Troop movement continued to Taigu, up and down the mountains and across rivers Han Nak Tong, Taigu I believe.
I believe most of company soldiers were wounded or KIA in the first and second weeks of fighting. I heard we lost about two-thirds of the company of 200 men. I myself was wounded on August 1, 1950, approx. 0500.

Comments: My father was Pfc. Richard Allen Riley. He served in Korean from Feb 1951 to June 1951, and was wounded on June 10th 1951 near Yonchon. When he passed away in 1995 he left me a diary of some of his experiances in Korea. I would love to hear from anyone who served with my father, or there family. I would like to pay tribute to all of you who served. I have not forgotten "The Forgotten War".
