Comments: My father, Joseph J Klein was in Korea 8/51-5/52. When I ask him about the war, he doesn't seem too eager to share any memories. He trained at Leonard Wood in 1950 but then got food poisoning when they shipped out, so he didn't ship out with the guys he trained with. I'm curious to know what my Dad went through in Korea. Sorry for not providing more info but as I mentioned, he didn't ship out with his guys. I'm not sure what unit he ended up in. He was Army-Infantry.

Louth, Ireland, and had emigrated to Chicago area shortly before outbreak of Korean War. His brother CPL Michael A. White was with 1st Cav. Div. in Japan at time of Patrick's death.
