I am currently deployed on a second tour to iraq and would really like to know more about his service and engagements. He has talked briefly about the war to me only no other family member i know of. Comments: Though wounded himself, he refused aid and helped other wounded. Voluntarily organized and led an assault group made up of his mortar section to retake the over-run positions by the enemy. He personally led and directed fire of his assault group. Exploding shrapnel ended his couageous attack in the early hours of September 7, 1952 LET THEM HAVE NOT DIED IN VAIN.

My father was transported to Korea on the US Naval Ship Marine Phoenix and landed in Inchon. He never talked much about his time in Korea but he was very proud to have served his country. He hated seeing the straving children in that country.When he was discharged he was a CPl (T)He was a BAR gunner. God bless all those who served in that conflict.

I just retired myself, and he was receiving the benefits as a veteran for his role in the Korean War. He was in the korean war and all i know is that he walked across the yallow river with general mcCarther. he was blown up by a grenade and died 30 years later. my mother is older and her memory is bad.
