Comments: I was supply Sgt. with the 37th from Oct 52 to Oct 53. Spent the first couple of months in Korea at K1 while the were finishing the runways at K9. Spent many hours at Miho while procuring supplies for the officers mess. I have many pictures of the bases and planes and lots of our fellow airman at K1 and K9. I have fond memories of those people even though I can't remember most of the names any more. Left Korea in Oct l953 and spent the rest of my service at Niagara Falls AFB in the 47th FIS. Been checking for years for a reunion of these units. Still pay my dues to the Airforce Association. Nice chatting with you.

Comments: I was stationed in Miho air base in 1954..just before the unit was transfered to the states...florida,Eglin Field I think.I was a crew chief on one of the B-26s.the number escapes me, and all my fotos were destroyed..We were sent tdy to K-8 Kunson for excerises just before the unit was transfered.I was transfered to Yokota and was assinged to a B-29 as asst, crew chief.Strangely I ended up on a ferry crew transporting B-29s back to the staes and escorting the remaining B-26s .They put a 500 gal fuel tank in the bomb bay and we did their navagation..the planes were flown to China Lake cal. for wepons testing...a truly waste of such great aircraft....phil kaufman
