Comments: I served in THE DECK DEPARTMENT IN the MILITARY SEA TRANSPROTATION SERVICE "MSTS" on LST 898 from July 1950 to 1951. We carried troops and cargo FROM JAPAN into Korea.
WE MADE SEVERAL BEACH LANDING WITH THE 1st. CALVERY AND OTHER UNITS. I KEEPT A DIARY OF DATES OF LANDING BUT THE CAPTIAN OF MY SHIP TOLD ME NOT TO PUT THE LOCATION OF THE LANDINGS IN DIARY DUE TO SECURITY REASONS DOING THE WAR, "INCASE OUR SHIP WAS CAPTURED" WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO SERVED WITH ME FROM JULY 1950 T0 SEPTEMBER 1951.
