Comments: I served as Operations Officer commencing Apr 1954 aboard the USS LST 772. Our tour to the far east was 13 months and included Hawaii, Japan, Korea, Tachian Isl, Formosa, Operation Freedom--North and South Vietnam, Phillipines, Hong Kong. At times during this tour we were often with the LST 516, 803 and 854. What can I do to help you recognize that these ships should be listed???My understanding was the LST 772 had previously had another tour to the Far East before I came aboard. I would welcome hearing from any who served aboard the USS LST 772 during the period I served---or before--or after--amd any interested in a reunion.
