Comments: Captain Cloutman is my sister's father. He was captured in N. Korea in November 1950. He died a prisoner Feb. 1951.

We believe we just found a picture from inside the prison camp taken by a Chinese officer of 10 American prisoners. We believe Capt. Cloutman is one of the men pictured. The picture was taken Nov. 1950 right after Capt. Cloutman was captured.

We are searching for any American prisoner survivers that may have been with him. We are trying to determine details of his death. In the photo, Rodney is in good health and in a new winter prison uniform. Please e-mail or call with any information.

Thank you, Tim

Comments: My Name is Benny Henderson. PFC Benny Berry was my grandfather. My father's name is too Benny Berry (JR) and I was intended to be Benny Berry III. I have been researching my grandfather's service to this country in hopes to piece together his life story. I understand that he made a great sacrifice for this country (especially at a time that did not always allow him his full rights as a US Citizen because he was African American). I believe that he served his country proudly regardless and I want to honor his sacrifice. As a result of my Grandfather's sacrifice, my own father grew up without a father for much of his life and the effects of that contributed to me growing up without one as well. I am now trying to bridge that gap with my own children and bring to end an unfortunate cycle. Knowing that my grandfather died serving his country allows me to feel some comfort in the fact that we today still feel the effects of his untimely departure.

UNCLE FRANK DIED BEFORE I WAS BORN AND I WAS TOLD HE WAS A POW AND IS MIA. HE HAD A BROTHER JOSEPH M. MC KLUSKY AND A WONDERFUL SISTER, MY MOTHER ANN H. MC KLUSKY, BOTH WHOM ARE DECEASED. MY UNCLE JOSEPH SAID MANY YEARS AGO THAT HE WENT TO CHICAGO TO MEET WITH A MAN WHO WAS A PRISONER ALONG WITH MY UNCLE FRANKIE AND STATED THAT HE WATCHED HIM DIE OF STARVATION. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MY UNCLE. IT HURT MY FAMILY TOO MUCH TO TALK ABOUT THE HOSTILE DEATH OF THEIR BROTHER, BUT WERE ALSO PROUD OF HIS BRAVERY AND DEDICATION TO OUR COUNTRY.
