Comments: My Dad, Charles Garrity was drafted around 1957 into the infantry, I may have the wrong dates.
He had a stroke a few years ago and he recalls pictures he had of his army buddies. He is trying to locate any memorabilia. I was born in 1964, I believe he was discharged in 1963.
He is from Glasgow Scotland and quite a character, I am hoping someone recalls him and can give me some information to pass on to him. This is important to him, he thinks I have his army photos, but sadly I do not. I would like to be able to locate some for him or give him some memories. Thanks for any assistance.

Please help...My father passed away Jan 2 1998,and he never discussed his time in Korea. I know that he was in the Army, and that he was wounded in action. I have received a copy of his DD214, and know that he went through Infintry School at Ft. Benning, GA. I also know that he was wounded in the back and received frost bite. His service # was RA 16 384 657 his specialty number or symbol was 71014, and he entered the service October 10, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If anyone has any information or remembers my dad, please e-mail me. I would like to be able to tell his grandchildren about his time in Korea. Thank you and God bless...

I think the date was in September of 1952. We were both from the same county in Nebraska. We entered the Army at the same time and both took Infantry basic training at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. When we got to Korea, I was assigned to G company and Adolph was assigned to the First Battalion. It seems to me it was either A or B company.

Comments: I and 1SG Billy Chaney are re-activating Delta Company, 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment. In an attempt to honor our past we are looking for information on the unit from Korea. Speciffically, we are trying to find unit names, mottos, awards received by Soldiers (with past and present pictures if possible) in the company to post for the new Soldiers assigned to the unit. As we prepare for another deployment (many of my Soldiers 2nd and 3rd years deployed) we are wish to draw stregnth from those who have gone before us as we continue to hold up the unit's high standards. Comments: I am looking for anyone who may have served with my Uncle Ray Navarro. He was from Sanger,Ca. He was in Korea in 1953. He had the 25th patch and the 27th patch on his uniforms. I am not sure how long he was there but he picked up Cpl. at the NCO Academy there in Korea. He was at Camp Casey I do not know how long he was there, but he pulled security on the DMZ at some point in time. I am trying to find out more info about his military service for myself and for his daughter, and his grand children my cousins. I am sorry to say he passed away in the early 90's. Any info would be great. Thank You

Comments: I was wondering if anyone remembered serving with my dad in Korea in 1951 and 1952. He talked so very little about his experiences during the war, and he passed away in 1996. His full name was William A. Varner, and he was from Orland, Indiana. He was 20 and 21 years old at the time, and was a funny, likeable guy.

Comments: I am looking for anyone who may have known my uncle, Alton Thomas Johnson. He arrived in country on August 26, 1950 and was killed at Mount Sobuk, San, Korea on September 17, 1950. He was 19 years old. He received the Silver Star. He is buried in Arlington Cemetery. The information I have is that the last time someone saw him he was fighting off the Koreans with the butt of his rifle. He had run out of bullets. If anyone knew my uncle would you please contact me. Thank you.
