Comments: I am interested in any information someone may have regarding my Uncle, Corporal Willis E. Blickenstaff, U.S. Army. He was just barely 18 when he was KIA on Jan. 4, 1951. I believe he may have died around Ch'onan, Seoul, but am unsure I don't have any information other than what I can figure out myself. I am also looking for any field reports, morning reports, and action reports for the day of his death. He was in K (King) Co. 27th infantry Reg., 25th infantry Division. Light Weapons, I appreciate any information I can get. Thank you for your time.

Comments: I am trying to help my father find his buddies he served with in the army. He has
been looking on his own for awhile and has found a few, and he is hoping to find
more.

My father's name is Clipper R. Thigpen. He served in the army from from August 1948
to May 1952. He served in Japan in the 32nd infantry regiment and in Korea (1950) in
the 27th Infantry Regiment, 7th division (Wolfhounds)(if memory serves him correct).

If you have any information leading to anyone that knew my father or if you were with
him at this time please contact him or E-mail me at melodiesandtunes@gmail.com , and
I will pass it on to him.

He remembers Chadwell, Elmer Kassinger in the 32nd infantry, Sgt. Moss, Sgt.
Vandergriff, Sgt. Mickles, Lt. Trubby , Hixon, Francis Carter, Steve Crater, Cpl.
Jack Dotson, Pfc Willis, John Stephens, Cpl. Shifflet, and Sgt. Shelton.

He has many, many photos but memory fails to remember all the names. He remembers
lots of stories about all the photos and wants! to find as many of his buddies as
possible.

Please respond if you can give us any information. You may find another post just
like this one but it has the wrong e-mail on it, I can no longer access that e-mail.

Thank you!

Comments: My Brother, John W Ledbetter, went to Korea in 1951 as pvt,was a
Wolfhound in the rough times at the front. He died at the age of
50 yrs old with a liver disease that I always felt was the
results of chemical spray in Korea. He progressed through the
ranks as a NCO and then received a battlefield commission to Lt.
in the 16 months he was in Korea, was wounded 2 times, also
received Silver and Gold Stars for his actions. When I tried to get
his record for the service he perfooed I was told his records
was destroyed in a fire in the archives. In fact, in my contacts
with the archive they were insulting in their statements. After a
Congressional appeal they reissued his medals. We had pictures of
him and buddies during all his duties . All we were asking for
was his perfooance while serving in Korea for family history.
Col. Hackworth of FOX News was in the same operations as John and
knew my brother well, but passed away with the same ailment as my
brother before he could help me with information.
If anyone has information to contribute to our research will be
greatly appreciated.
THANKS!!!!

information, but with no other details. I do know that

Keywords: My dad, Wesley Watkins, was in Korea with the
Wolfhounds. He passed away some time ago, and never
spoke much of his, or his unit's experience. I have
a lighter with a Wolfhound head on it that was given
to his unit Christmas of 1951, I have many photos,
some labeled Wolmi-Do, which I beleive acted aa a POW
cam. He drove truck in the states prior to his
stint and may have been involved in transportation.
I know he had a good friend from his unit named Bob
Fogler from Iowa and he and my mother visited Mr.
Fogler at least twice and kept in touch for years.
If anybody has any info about Wes or his unit pleawe
contact me.

Comments: Looking for friends with information on James Athur
Lowery. Called Tennessee by his friends. Tennessee
was a Medic and drove a truck transporting wounded. I
would appreciate any information to assist me in
reconstructing James A. Lowery's record lost in the St
Louis fire. James is 81 and not in good health due to
a stroke. He spent his life as a Brick and Stone
Mason, becoming a very successful business man. I am
putting together a shadow Box and would like to know
about combat James was in. Paperwork sent to
Government records stated he was only eligible for
Foreign Service Medal. This seems strange for a man
who held dying soldiers in his arms giving them
morphine until they departed. James was in combat from
~ July 1952 to June. James lived his life as an
honorable man, never asking more than his due. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. James was proud to
be a part of the Wolfhounds and remembers the song well.

Comments: My father, (Sgt) Leon Wimbley (Ret) recently pass away and is being buried
at Arlington Apr 2012. We have requested his military awards be put on
his tombstone and have requested his records for proof. The Army Review
Board has taken his 2nd Combat Infantry Badge away because his entire
record in Korea was lost; just have date arrived and date left, along with
his outfit 27th Inf, Company C.; served from Nov '52 to Apr '53. Can
anyone tell me what his outfit did during the winter of '52-'53? He also
served in WWI, Panama from'39-'43 and Europe from '43-'45 (137th Inf),
including the Battle of Bulge.
