Comments: The next reunion for the Zeal is in Philadelphia and our past reunion was in the Boston area hosted by Frank and Nancy Cambridge. As usual, we had a great time. Just great. The reunion in 2006 will be in Astoria, Oregon hosted by Dan Neuhauser. It too promises to be a great time since he has hosted one previously in Portland. Former crew members should come to the next reunion. You will not regret it.

Comments: I was wondering if there is anyone who remembers my father Dean Williams? He served on this ship sometime between 1952 to 1956, he served on the USS Pelican also. He told me that he was on a ship that hit a mine; and that he was one of three survivors. But I dont know what ship went down.I know it wasn't the Zeal or Pelican, but havent had much success finding out what other ships he might have been on.
