Comments: I was wondering if there is anyone who remembers my father Dean Williams? He served on this ship sometime between 1952 to 1956, he served on the USS Zeal also. He told me that he was on a ship that hit a mine; and that he was one of three survivors. But I dont know what ship went down.I know it wasn't the Pelican or Zeal, but havent had much success finding out what other ships he might have been on.
